Sri Lanaka Airforce Museum

The Sri Lankan Airforce Museum is located at Rathmalana, Sri Lanka. It has many more items to visit. There are lot of ancient aircrafts can be found there. If you visit the museum, you can be able to enter into the aircraft & get that durable experience too. Every item has a note which write on a board and it helps people to get some idea about that.

Sri Lankan Airforce Museum consists of few major sections. They are Main Hanger, Avro Simulator, Vehicle Hanger, Generator House, Display of Engine Evalution. Besides there some Photo galary, Mini theater & Souvenir Shop.

If you are interested in Airforce, this is the best way to learn more about that. It helps you to improve your knowledge too. In this museum there are so many historic items can be found. It shows our historic value. In past we had faced for the horrible war with the LTTE. There are some destroyed LTTE aircrafts can be found in this museum.

The museum is located at a nice natural  surrounding. It adds some extra beauty for the museum. I think it is a nice concept of all the airforce crew. Thank you for opening such a valuable source for everyone.

It is a well known city for mask making industry which is located at South Western coastal belt of Sri Lanka. The History of Ceylon Tea 2737 BC - Tea was first discovered in China during the reign of Chinese Emperor Shen Nong. In 1824, British brought a tea plant from china to Ceylon. The botanical name for tea is " Camellia   Sinensis  " from China. In 1867, James Taylor ( Scottish by origin ) planted 19 acres of tea in the city of Kandy in Ceylon, at the Loolecondra Estate, Hewaheta as the first commercial tea plantation. The first public Colombo auction took place on 30th July 1883 under the guidance of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Thomas Lipton, a Scottish businessman and millionaire came to Sri Lanka and made business deals with James Taylor. Lipton's company purchased Ceylon tea and distributed it to Europe and the USA. Tea became Sri Lanka's main commercial export crop and the entire local economy shifted to tea.
