PATNA - " Sliding Rock "

It is not a fault to adress Sri Lanka as a " Paradise " . In the sense of meaning it is a real paradise. "Patna", such a beautiful place in Sri Lanka I have been never met. Most of the people called Patna as a " Sliding Rock ". Yes of course it is a sliding rock which made by nature naturally. This amazing spot is located at " Deniyaya ". It is in Matara District, Sri Lanka. Beacuse of the biodiversity, it is famous not only local people but also foreign people too. Patna is a coolest destination for every travellers. There are so many tree varieties and it helps to cool the environment too. 

This place was located at a little bit high mountain. It is difficult to reach for the destination by vechicles. By foot is more suitable for that. It is such a nice trip. You have to travel among more tea plants. I think it will be a nice experience for you too.



All the slide rock makes people happy. It gives lot of joy for the people. There is no huge water waves. A little thin water layer flows on the rocks and then its end with a litter water pool. That pool is not deep one. This helps you to get some adventure experiences by sliding down on the rock with water. Not only adults but also children can be enjoy in a same way. Actually it feels like getting the Leisure World Water Park experience at Patna without free of charge. This is opens for every rich and poor people in the world because it is a beautiful creation of nature. So that we all are the owners of this Patna and we have a great duty to protect this Patna for furure. If you are not visit there yet, I am sure you definitely find the time to go there with your family of friends,after watching this video. It is a well known city for mask making industry which is located at South Western coastal belt of Sri Lanka. The History of Ceylon Tea 2737 BC - Tea was first discovered in China during the reign of Chinese Emperor Shen Nong. In 1824, British brought a tea plant from china to Ceylon. The botanical name for tea is " Camellia   Sinensis  " from China. In 1867, James Taylor ( Scottish by origin ) planted 19 acres of tea in the city of Kandy in Ceylon, at the Loolecondra Estate, Hewaheta as the first commercial tea plantation. The first public Colombo auction took place on 30th July 1883 under the guidance of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Thomas Lipton, a Scottish businessman and millionaire came to Sri Lanka and made business deals with James Taylor. Lipton's company purchased Ceylon tea and distributed it to Europe and the USA. Tea became Sri Lanka's main commercial export crop and the entire local economy shifted to tea.
